Rep. Unyime Idem Scholarship 20262027 for 200 Students Eligibility and How to Apply

The member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency, Rep. Unyime Idem, has announced a scholarship programme for 200 undergraduate, master’s and Ph.D. students from the constituency who are studying in Nigerian federal universities. The initiative, known as the Unyime Idem Education Scholarship Programme, is designed to provide educational support to eligible constituents pursuing different levels of university education. It offers an opportunity for qualified students to receive assistance as they work towards completing their academic programmes.

Rep. Unyime Idem, who represents Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, made the announcement as part of his efforts to promote access to higher education among people from the constituency. He also serves as Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Public Procurement. Through the scholarship initiative, the lawmaker is seeking to support students whose academic journeys may be affected by financial challenges and other educational needs.

The programme covers students at three levels of higher education: undergraduate, master’s and doctoral studies. This means that eligible students who are pursuing their first university degree, postgraduate master’s qualification or Ph.D. programme may be considered, provided they meet the scholarship’s requirements. By including different academic levels, the initiative recognises the educational needs of students at various stages of their university careers.

The scholarship is specifically intended for students from Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency who are studying in federal universities in Nigeria. Applicants should therefore confirm that they meet the constituency and institutional conditions before beginning the application process. Students from other constituencies or those attending institutions outside the stated category should not assume they qualify without checking the official guidelines.

The Unyime Idem Education Scholarship Programme forms part of the lawmaker’s stated commitment to the educational progress and development of his constituents. Financial assistance can help beneficiaries manage some of the costs associated with university education, allowing them to give greater attention to their studies. The selection of 200 students also provides an opportunity for a number of qualified undergraduates and postgraduate students to benefit from the initiative.

Interested students should look out for the official application guidelines to confirm the eligibility criteria, scholarship benefits, required documents, application procedure and closing date. Applicants should ensure that the information they provide is accurate and that all requested documents are submitted as instructed. They should also rely on announcements from Rep. Unyime Idem’s official communication channels for updates about the Unyime Idem Education Scholarship Programme.

Final note for applicants

According to the scholarship notice, Rep. Unyime Idem will not be held responsible for any deferment, change of university or change of course made by a beneficiary. Applicants should therefore understand that the scholarship is tied to the conditions stated in the programme’s guidelines and that changes to their academic arrangements may have implications for their eligibility or continued participation. Students are advised to consider their current academic status carefully before applying.

The notice also makes it clear that the lawmaker will not accept liability for delays or changes arising from a beneficiary’s decision to defer their studies or move to another university. Similarly, students who change their course of study after receiving the scholarship should not assume that their award will automatically remain valid. Anyone considering such a change should seek clarification through the appropriate official channel before taking action.

Another important provision concerns the selection of beneficiaries. The notice states that Rep. Idem reserves absolute discretion to select applicants in accordance with the stated eligibility criteria and his personal consideration. This means that satisfying the basic requirements does not automatically guarantee that an applicant will receive the scholarship. The final selection will be made through the process established for the programme.

Applicants should pay attention to this provision and ensure that they understand the conditions before submitting their applications. They should provide accurate academic and personal information, confirm that they meet the constituency and federal university requirements, and submit all requested supporting documents. Any applicant who is uncertain about how a particular condition applies to their circumstances should seek clarification before proceeding.

The scholarship is intended to support eligible undergraduate, master’s and Ph.D. students from Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency. However, prospective beneficiaries should not treat the announcement as a guarantee of financial support simply because they have applied. They should read the complete notice, understand the selection provisions and remain guided by any additional instructions issued by Rep. Unyime Idem’s office.
