Adeyemi Federal University of Education, formerly known as Adeyemi College of Education, is a public university established and managed by the Federal Government of Nigeria. It is located in Ondo State, Nigeria.
Adeyemi Federal University of Education was named after Canon M.C. Adeyemi, one of the most renowned educationists in the southwestern part of Nigeria.
This university was established in 1963 to produce qualified teachers to teach in secondary schools and teachers’ training colleges.
It was later upgraded from a higher education institution to a federal university by the Federal Government of Nigeria under the administration of Muhammadu Buhari in January 2022.
