French, English, Yoruba, Arabic.
B. Ed: Social Studies, Early Childhood and Primary Education, Guidance and Counselling.
LASU Sandwich Program Requirements
Below are the general admission requirements for the LASU Sandwich Program:
- Candidates must possess at least five (5) ‘O’ Level Credits at not more than two (2) sittings with (2) of the subjects at ‘A’ Level or NCE Merit Passes in relevant areas.
- Candidates must have a university/polytechnic 2-year diploma certificate in the relevant areas obtained at not less than merit level.
SPECIFIC SUBJECT AREA REQUIREMENTS
English Major: Credit Passes in Literature in English and English Language at ‘O’ Level or its equivalent.
Economics Major: Credit Passes in English Language, Mathematics, and Economics.
Physical and Health Education, Social Studies, Political Science Major: At least a credit pass in English language and a pass in mathematics or ‘O’ level of its equivalent.
Health Education Major: A Credit Pass in English Language and a Pass in Mathematics Holders of Staff Registered Nurse and Midwifery Certificate plus, 5 ‘O’ level credit passes to include English language are also eligible.
Diploma in Health Education, Environmental Health, Physical Education
Social Work, Health Admin., with overall grades of Merit plus three ‘O’ levels.
Credit/TC II merit passes, which should include English language
(NCE in Biology, Health Education, and Integrated Science with a Pass grade 2 ‘O’ Level
Credit/TC II merit passes.
Mathematics and Science Major: Credit Pass in Mathematics and English
Additional Requirements
ICAN (Part II) or CTS (Part II) are acceptable for economics.
Arabic institution certificate holders may be considered for admission if other entry requirements are met.
LASU accepts any other arts/social sciences subject in place of Yoruba language.
LASU Sandwich Course Duration
The course duration for the LASU Sandwich Programme varies based on the applicant’s qualifications:
Four-Year Degree Programme
This option is available for candidates who possess:
- NCE (Nigeria Certificate in Education)
- ND (National Diploma) with Merit/Upper Credit or higher
Five-Year Degree Programme
This applies to candidates who have:
- WASC/SSCE (West African Senior School Certificate Examination)
- NCE but do not meet the entry qualifications for the four-year program.
How to Apply for LASU Sandwich Program
The application form is obtainable from the Lagos State University website: www.lasu.edu.ng on the payment of ten thousand naira (N10,000.00) only as an application fee.
However, candidates are requested to submit a copy of their online application forms and appropriate ‘Olevel scratch card(s) to the Directorate of Sandwich Degree Programme on each of the campuses.
