No, NYSC does not accept affidavits for a change of name. All changes must be made through the NYSC Portal.
Note: There is no option on the portal to add or remove a name.
The only available options are for correcting misspelled names or rearranging names.
If you need to add or remove a name, you will have to visit the Student Affairs Department of your school and provide the necessary documents.
How to Make Corrections to Your Name on the NYSC Portal

Scroll down the dashboard, and you will see an option for Name Correction and Arrangements.
- Click on it, and two options will appear: Misspellings in Name and Misarrangements in Name
- Select and Make Changes
Choose one of the options based on your issue. After making the changes, click on Request Review.
- Review Process
The review process can take up to 2-3 weeks.
