Does NYSC Accept Affidavit for Change of Name?
No, NYSC does not accept affidavits for a change of name. All changes must be made through the NYSC Portal.
Note: There is no option on the portal to add or remove a name.
The only available options are for correcting misspelled names or rearranging names.
If you need to add or remove a name, you will have to visit the Student Affairs Department of your school and provide the necessary documents.
How to Make Corrections to Your Name on the NYSC Portal
- Visit the NYSC Portal.
Go to the NYSC Portal via the link below: https://portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc1/ResumePayment.aspx .
The portal often encounters issues, so refresh the page if it doesn’t open.
- Log In
Enter your email address and password to log in.
- Access the Dashboard
Once you’ve logged in, a page will load. On the sidebar, click on Dashboard.
- Locate Name Correction Options
Scroll down the dashboard, and you will see an option for Name Correction and Arrangements.
- Click on it, and two options will appear: Misspellings in Name and Misarrangements in Name
- Select and Make Changes
Choose one of the options based on your issue. After making the changes, click on Request Review.
- Review Process
The review process can take up to 2-3 weeks.
